I started making art in secondary school and continued on to complete a BFA in Studio Art at Concordia University in Montreal. Visual expression always felt natural and provided an additional means of communication and the cultivation of personal understanding. Over time I drifted away from a focused artmaking practice in order to complete an MA in Art Therapy and a B.Ed in Art Education; subsequently working in mental health and educational institutions and privately.
I have returned to art making with renewed enthusiasm and appreciate how nourishing and satisfying it is for me. Teaching, counselling and collaboration add an additional dimension to my creative pursuits and an enriched sense of purpose and service.
